Drake & Nicki Minaj inflict marriage Twitter hoax on fans, media

Canadian rapper Drake and New York rap princess Nicki Minaj took to Twitter last Friday to reveal they had wed in secret - only to have their reps shut down the hoax almost immediately.

"Please refer to @nickiminaj as Mrs. Aubrey Drake Graham and dont stare at her too long. She's finally mine. :)," he tweeted Friday afternoon.

"Yes, its true. Drake and I tied the knot," Minaj tweeted after.

Reps denied the story, but not before Drake fangirls went mental.

Rapper Shawty Lo's engagement lasts "probably" a month

Don't let this tearful video deceive you - there really isn't much love lost between rapper Shawty Lo (real name Carlos Walker) and his on-off girlfriend of 10 years, Ecreia Perez. In June the rapper proposed at a surprise birthday party for Perez in Atlanta, but within a month he'd called it off. He recently spoke to MTV News about the split.

"Things happen. I can't point no fingers. We were separated, the engagement lasted probably a month. I love her still, but it's time to move on. It's over. I'm finnin' (feeling ready) to move on. I got everything new going for me."

When asked to elaborate, Shawty would only say: "Something happened that I found out. Me, being a man, you just can't deal with certain stuff, put up with certain stuff. So, you know, it's better for us to separate. I can't talk about it. That my daughter's mother. I got much respect for her. ... (But) yeah, I'm single right now."

In total, Shawty has 10 children, including his daughter with Perez, from various relationships.

T.I. & Tiny's wedding pics

On Saturday, July 31st, rapper T.I. finally married his longtime fiancee, Tameka "Tiny" Cottle in a star-studded ceremony in Miami Beach - MediaTakeOut shared exclusive photos from the ceremony at a Star Island mansion - the second of three for the hip hop couple.

They were legally married the day before at a Miami Beach courthouse, and invited guests like rappers Bow Wow and Nelly, singers Ashanti and Monica, Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas and her ex, Usher, and Real Housewives of Atlanta star/songwriter Kandi Burruss to their Saturday celebration. Cottle wore a Valentino gown for the occasion, and T.I. wore an ivory Prada tuxedo.

A third ceremony followed in Las Vegas on August 1st. T.I. and Tiny are one of hip hop's reigning star couples, with two sons together.
