Greek Royal Wedding: Prince Nikolaos weds Tatiana Blatnik

The Greek monarchy was deposed in the 1973 and today its members hold their titles in courtesy, but their social status still earns them a celebrity distinction around the world. Now, primarily, most members of the royal family reside in London, England.

Prince Nikolaos of Greece and Denmark
, the second son of King Constantine and Queen Anne-Marie (sister to Queen Margrethe of Denmark), was married to his London-based girlfriend Tatiana Blatnik, an events planner for Diane Von Furstenburg, on Thursday, August 25th. The ceremony took place inside the Cathedral of Ayios Nikolaos on the Greek island of Spetses. Approximately 350 guests accompanied the Greek royal family for the ceremony, including newlywed Princess Victoria of Sweden and husband Daniel, Prince Haakon and Mette-Marit of Norway (quietly celebrating their ninth wedding anniversary during yesterday's celebrations), Queen Margrethe, Prince Frederick and Mary of Denmark, Spain's Queen Sofia (Constantine's sister), Prince Willem and Maxima of the Netherlands, and the Prince and Princess Michael of Kent.

Blatnik wore Angel Sanchez for the ceremony, to which she arrived in a horse-drawn carriage - we wonder if she had a Von Furstenburg wrap dress on hand for the reception ;)
