How Russell Brand proposed to Katy Perry
Confirming their engagement after less than four months of dating, People dug up some details on how comedian Russell Brand proposed to singer Katy Perry. The couple stayed for a few days in a presidential suite at the Taj Rambagh Palace in Jaipur, India, and for dinner one night, Brand asked the hotel to arrange a special dining experience for the couple.
They ate under the stars in the garden lit by candles, and at midnight enjoyed New Year's fireworks while sitting on an elephant (at Brand's request). When Perry found a diamond ring hidden in some flowers, Brand proposed and she accepted.
There are some reports that the couple could marry in Britain within the next six months, but Brand's rep could not confirm the timing of the wedding or that he had purchased the ring before Christmas, when paparazzi spotted him at Cartier in London.
