Weather Channel meteorologist engaged live on air
During a live segment on December 30th, The Weather Channel's meteorologist Kim Perez was in the middle of talking about weather systems in south Florida when her boyfriend, Kenesaw, Georgia police seargeant Marty Cunningham, stormed the set.
Dropping down on one knee, the prospective groom told Perez, "We've been talking about this for a long time, and I love you, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. So I'm asking you today, will you please marry me?" Behind Perez, the weather map morphed into a graphic that read "Will You Marry Me?"
Perez responded. "Yes, I will. I love you, I don't believe this! I love you, Marty Cunningham."
